We do not really know what these rooms were used for in the Rahbeks’ day. There were originally several small rooms, of which the one immediately behind the kitchen might have been a maid’s room or perhaps a scullery. The room to the west was probably let out during the summer months, as were the other rooms and small apartments in the house. Kamma and Knud Lyne Rahbek themselves lived in the east wing of the ground floor and had a small income from letting the rest f the house to summer visitors. Today, these rooms are used for small temporary exhibitions.
