This room was used in Rahbek’s day for guests who were to spend the night there. Adam Oehlenschläger was a regular guest in Bakkehuset from his very early days, and it was here that he met his wife, Kamma Rahbek’s younger sister Christiane. So the museum is showing a collection of exhibits associated with the great Romantic poet.

A particularly interesting exhibit is the Riepenhausen brothers’ portrait of the young poet when on his visit to Rome in 1809.
