Stimulate your taste buds in atmospheric surroundings

The principles that lie behind the Orangery restaurant constitute a commitment to craftsmanship, the finest ingredients and seasonable variation. We only wish to serve the best of the best to you.

The Orangery’s deftly prepared open sandwiches and a newly produced line of pickles have been developed by the chefs at the Bakkehuset, Allan Haunstrup and Anne Sofie Berlin. Rosforth & Rosfort are the suppliers of wine to the Orangery. These wines are chosen to perfectly match up to the flavours of the open sandwiches. Of course the wines can be enjoyed unaccompanied – other than by sunshine and the ambience of the Orangery. Our beer is also locally sourced, in this case from Frederiksberg’s own brewery ‘Frederiksberg Bryghus’.  We also have a selection of aquavit and cordials; all made from traditional recipes. ‘Hart Bageri’ is our supplier of artisan bread. ‘Risteriet’ supplies us with specially roasted coffee; brewed with the time and respect that is required to bring out the best in these carefully chosen coffee beans. In the days when Kamma and Knud Lyne Rahbek were hosts their drink of choice, to offer their guests, was tea. Today you can choose from five carefully selected teas from ‘Sing Tehus’. Maybe we can tempt you with something sweet to go with your coffee or tea; if so, try one of the Orangery’s delicious desserts. All of these are made entirely by hand, from carefully selected ingredients, by our very talented chef Anne Sofie Berlin. Her inspiration comes from Denmark’s renowned baking tradition and cakes fashionable in the time of Kamma Rahbek.
